The Ummah Movement of the National Islamic Centre, Zaria, saYS with prayers and perseverance, Nigeria will soon overcome her numerous challenges.
The president of the movement, Dr Muhammad Babangida Muhammad, said the celebration of the new Islamic year came with renewed hopes provided Nigerians continue to put their trust in Allah.
He said: “The dating of the Hijra calendar sprang from the stealthy but revolutionary migration of a small band of persecuted Muslims from their homes in Makkah to the more hospitable City of the Prophet (Madinah} that later grew into a caliphate. Certainly. the past 10 years had been full of challenges for the Muslims in Nigeria. The Ummah Movement however calls on all Muslims to be patient.
“We should also pray for Allah to guide all our leaders at all levels to do right.”
