…Nigeria’s air space is safe, Aviation minister insists

She stressed that a lot has been done by regulatory authorities to ensure strict compliance to safety standards.
She gave the assurance on a day senators were calling for her resignation for frequent air crashes, the latest of which occurred on Sunday last week in which 15 people were killed.
 The minister told journalists yesterday at a press conference in Abuja that the ministry had carried out thorough review of the sector.
She said a review was done to bridge the gap to ensure equipment upgrade and removal of obsolete facilities which was done to ensure a safe and secure airspace.
On the suspension of operations of Dana Air, Oduah said the decision was not selective.
