Nigeria is my problem, says Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari said Nigeria is his problem and will do his best to make it a better country.

Speaking at a special dinner organised in his honor by Kano state governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Buhari said "I will do my best to improve Nigeria because my problem is Nigeria.

"Nigeria is my target and I will remain focus to make it a better country."

Buhari said he was welcomed by different people in Kano including youth, saying that "I will make neccessary sacrifice to make the future of our youths better."

He explained that his administration would contonue to accord priority to education and youth empowerment so that they could contribute their qouta to the development of the country.

He said, "If you educate people, you empower them. We have to make sacrifice to prepare our youth for a better future."

President Buhari further expressed delight for the overwhelming reception the people of Kano offered to him.

"I am overwhelmed by massive tournout of people who left their personnal emgagements just to welcome me. This should be a clear mesage to the opposition," he said.

In his remarks, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, said his administration is committed to the development of Kano state.

Ganduje said the incombent government had executed various projects including youth and women empowerment programmes.

He said, "Apart from execting various development projects, my administratiom was able to award contract worth over N2bn for the construction of an ultra modern skills acquisition center."
