The Sokoto State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has commended Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for constituting a Taskforce Committee on Sales and Distribution of Petroleum products in the state.
Sokoto state government has revealed plans to renew its bulk purchase agreement licence with the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation( NNPC) and commence sale of one million litres of petrol per week to motorists.
The Sokoto State Government is to commence the second phase survey of 120 secondary schools in its bid to identify areas that impedes the standard of education in the state.
Tambuwal however said the forum would enhance active participation of traditional rulers, religious leaders, and other stakeholders on health, water supply, sanitation, hygiene and education
In a bid to tackle the lingering fuel scarcity in Sokoto, the state Government has set up a task to monitor the distribution of petroleum products in the state.
He said the shortlisted candidates had voluntarily presented themselves for the wedding and that it would amount to a great injustice for them to be replaced now that arrangement had been perfected for the wedding.
