The Headquarters of 3 Divison Nigerian Army is to render free medical services to civilians in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi.
Col. Kayode Ogunsanya, Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, said in a press release on Friday in Bauchi that the exercise was part of activities lined up to herald a military exercise code-named “Operation Harbin Kunama II”.
Ogunsanya said that the one-day free medical services would be rendered in Burra General Hospital, to residents of Burra Town and its environs.
He explained that the exercise would cover tests for blood pressure and sugar levels, dental services, as well as malaria and eye checks.
The official said that treatment would also be available for diabetes, hypertension and other ailments during the exercise.
The spokesman said that the exercise was part of the army’s constitutional roles of assisting civilians around its areas of operations.
