The newly re-deployed Permanent Secretary to the Federal Ministry of Environment, Dr. Shehu Ahmed, resumed duty on Monday at the headquarters in Mabushi, Abuja.
Receiving the new permanent secretary, the Minister of State for Environment, Ibrahim Usman Jibril, said the redeployment of the permanent secretary would further boost the goals of sustainable development at the ministry.
This, he noted that the permanent secretary was coming from a ministry with almost similar objectives.
A statement from the ministry signed by Ovuakporie Efe said the minister also enjoined him to harness and draw from the wealth of the available human resources to facilitate the delivery on the ministry’s mandate.
Responding, Dr. Ahmed pledged his commitment to build on the achievements of his predecessor.
