National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has revealed that it will host a robust web-site site that would collect profile of applicants and job vacancies both at home and abroad to link job seekers with employers.
This was disclosed by Director-General of NDE Dr. Nasiru Mohammed Ladan at the ongoing 38th Kano International Trade Fair.
According to him NDE as a Federal Government Agency is saddled with the task of creating jobs for the teaming unemployed people in Nigeria and that it has recorded a tremendous achievement in executing its mandate.
He added that in 2017 the directorate had succeeded in the training of over 100, 000 young men and women on various skills acquisition programmes and competencies that will enable them become self-employed.
The director further stated that, NDE is planning to introduce a new scheme called Green Cash For Nigerian Youths which would basically focus its attention on production of dates and palm oil using improved seedlings stressing that NDE will also introduce another initiative through which the Directorate would host a robust web -.
In his remarks, the state Minister of Labour and Employment, Professor Stephen I. Ocheni stressed that the commitment of the Federal Government to reposition the economy is visible through the introduction of the social investment initiative which was pro-poor and designed to involve people into the growth process.
