The irresistible urge to help promote peaceful and harmonious existence is said to be the fundamental reason behind NASCO Group’s continued sponsorship of the annual Jos Polo tournament.
The Group Corporate Communication and Compliance Advisor of NASCO Group Nigeria, Haroun Harry Audu stated this at the end of the 2018/2019 Jos Polo tournament.
He said the Jos Polo Tournament represents one of the genuine platforms to consolidate ongoing, multifaceted efforts by state and non-state actors who have invested and continue to invest invaluable resources towards peaceful co-existence amongst and between citizens; residents and visitors alike.
Audu maintained that NASCO’s commitment to unity and peace on the Plateau and other parts of the country is responsible for the unflinching support for the tournament which is becoming the most reputable polo competition locally and internationally.
According to him the company’s almost half a century dedication in supporting sports, and the game of Polo in Jos Plateau State and across Nigeria, is thus aimed at amplifying “the best of our shared humanity, particularly amongst our young people”.
Audu therefore said to sustain these values which NASCO Group hold in very high esteem, the company will remain committed to the sport of kings.
“Sports and sporting activities are a vital and practical tool, through which individual and corporate patrons can direct resources to mobilize and involve especially our teeming youth from all walks of life without discrimination; to engage, recreate, share, compete and exchange in atmosphere of love, respect and mutuality.
“NASCO Group views the annual Jos Polo Tournament as one of those important planks through which its corporate values and timeless worldview of Oneness, inclusion, hard work, resilience, excellence and fair play, can be best mainstreamed into the lives and consciousness of the youth,” he said.
