According to him, “highlights for the event will be a seminar on very topical issues. As you know the theme for the Air expo is Air Force in Nation Building which is going to look at the Nigerian Air Force and where we stand in the development of the nation.
“The expo will also have a reunion where the ex-service men who have served the NAF and this nation diligently will come and join those of us who are still in the service and meet again and talk about the way forward for the NAF and we will also tap from their wealth of experience because they are the founders of the NAF in order to proffer ways to improve the Nigerian air force.
“My visit to Kaduna is to attend the Air Force Institutes of Technology (AFIT) Council meeting, so I decided to take time out to look at our preparation for the 2012 Air Expo which is slated for the 15-19th May, 2012, so am here essentially to look at the preparation and we are very happy that the preparation have reached an advanced stage.
“The expo will culminate in an air show and static display of our air craft’s and we have invited other stake holders who will come and display their wares during the period of the expo and we expect that the President who is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces to open and also close the air expo that in a nut shell is what we expect in the air expo.”
He assured that the NAF is able, willing and ready to confront all challenges including security and airpower saying, “the nation has vested the responsibility upon us and we want to assure the nation that we are very grateful for their support particularly the government, the President, and the entire citizens of this country for their continued support and we want to assure them of our loyalty to this country and to the progress of our country.”
