Muslims have been urged to use their wealth to support Islamic institutions and religious activities in order to uplift Islam.
The Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT), Madarasatul Isl, Kaduna, Alhaji Garba Abubakar Ibrahim made the plea in his welcome address at the graduation ceremony of the school.
He said it was incumbent upon wealthy Muslims to support Islamic institutions in whatever way possible, to make them functional especially with the current economic situation the country is facing.
He said the school was battling with inadequate funds for essential services such as payment of the teachers’ salary.
He said many parents of pupils in the school were reluctant to settle their children’s school fees and appealed for a change of attitude.
In his remarks, Alhaji Abdul-Mutallab Dauda the Vice Chairman Parents Teachers Association (PTA) reminded parents that it is their responsibility to give their children moral upbringing and sound education.
The Chief Imam of Yahaya Road Mosque, Sheikh Muhammad Khalil, tasked Muslim’s on the need to give their children good moral upbringing and sound education so that they become good people in the future.
