The security check which caused a very long queue of vehicles, starting from the Dutse junction up to Kubwa first gate, forced motorists and commuters coming from Kubwa to spend more time to reach their destinations.
Commuters, especially civil servants, were late to work as they were delayed by the traffic jam which took them unawareness.
Hawkers, as usual, took advantage of the situation to make some brisk businesses, while some vehicles broke down within the traffic, causing further commotion.
Some motorists, who spoke to City News, said the security search may not be unconnected to the usual security alerts, which used to lead to security beef-up within and around the territory by the military personnel.
