Mazi Ohuabunwa emerges PSN President

Pharm. (Mazi) Sam Ohuabunwa has emerged the new President of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, PSN.

He emerged winner from a keen contest where four aspirants slugged it out at the end of the 91st annual conference of PSN held in Ibadan last week.

Mazi Ohuabunwa garnered 1,065 votes, while the other contestants, Pharm. Anthony Bola Oyawole, Pharm. (Dr) Lolu Ojo, and Pharm. (Dr) Otakho Daniel Orumwense, had 498, 386, and 271 votes respectively.

The immediate past President of PSN, Ahmed Yakasai congratulated Mazi, the elected officers and those who contested one office or the other.

“Together we are stronger and to lead is to serve. It is now time to put everything behind us and join hands as men of honour for the interest of our noble profession and beloved country”, he said in a message on Sunday.
