An Iyaganku Chief Magistrate Court on Tuesday ordered that a 23-year-old man, Mohammed Abdullahi, who allegedly abducted and defiled a 15-year-old girl be remanded in a custodial centre, pending legal advice.
The police charged Abdullahi with abduction and rape.
Chief Magistrate I. O. Osho, who did not take the plea of Abdullahi, for want of jurisdiction, ordered that he be remanded in Agodi Correctional Centre.
She adjourned the matter to May 26 for mention.
Earlier, the prosecution counsel, Insp. Foluke Adedosu told the court that Abdullahi met the minor on social media and he invited her to his residence at Onigbodogi area, Apete, Ibadan on February 9, where he defiled her.(NAN)
