A poll has predicted that a former National Caretaker Chairman of the PDP, Senator Ahmed Mohamed Makarfi, will emerge as the party’s presidential candidate on Oct. 6.
An Interim Situation Report on 12 PDP presidential aspirants by an independent group, Presidential Mediation Committee showed that Makarfi was the early favorite before the primary election.
The report signed by Protem-Chairman Hon. Samaila Kankia, Ag. Secretary Dr. Amos Goje and Facilitator, Malam Muhammad Tasiu Hassan which they said they had submitted to the PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus ranked each candidate’s potentialities and pedigree on a scale of 1 to 20 with 20 being highest. In all, the group said Makarfi scored 15 marks to beat the rest in the analysis.
