As schools resume for academic activities, the Education Secretary, Senator Isa Maina, on Tuesday went round some schools within Abuja.
Maina, who was in company of some senior officials, said the inspection was to ensure schools complied with the resumption date, even as he summoned school heads for a meeting in his office to strengthen the standard of education in all FCT schools.
He said some of the challenges he observed as well as those listed by the school heads would not be addressed in isolation, but through management meetings.
He said the essence of the management team was to ensure how best matters relating to school standard were being handled.
He commended the school management for maintaining clean environment as well as hygiene.
Some of the schools the education secretary visited were Junior Secondary School (JSS) Area 11, Garki and Model Primary School, Maitama.
