LP guber candidate receives royal blessings in Plateau

Sum Pyem, Charles Mato Dakat, who represented the paramount ruler when Hirse visited the traditional council, weekend, prayed God to grant Hirse success, in view of his contributions to the state and nation as a whole.
“We in Mangu will be happy if our son is elected governor. We all know that power is from God and He gives whoever He wishes. Maybe, this is the time He has appointed for you and we pray this shall come to pass.”
Hirse, a former editor of Plateau State’s Nigerian Standard newspaper, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Namibia between 1999 and 2004, and former minister of state for foreign affairs, was received along with other office seekers and party leaders on his entourage by all the district heads in Mangu LGA.
He said that he was there to formally present himself before the traditional council and seek for support and blessings so that he could become governor and reposition Plateau State for the better.
