The Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) said yesterday that it has received indication of interest from over 25 countries to participate in the 2018 Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF) scheduled to hold between November 2, and 11, 2018.
Besides, the chamber also announced a ban on musical instruments and hawking at this year’s edition as it launched LIFF website to enable online booking and payment.
Speaking at the media launch of the 2018 edition of LITF in Lagos, LCCI’s chairman Trade Promotion board, Mr. Gabriel Idahosa, listed the 25 countries to include China, Japan, Ghana, Cameroun, Republic of Benin, India, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Turkey, Kenya, Singapore, Jamaica, South Africa, US and UK, adding that over 500,000 visitors, 2,500 local exhibitors and 400 foreign exhibitors are expected at the fair.
Idahosa noted that due to persistent complaints of exhibitors, no exhibitor will be allowed to bring in musical instruments to the fair, emphasizing that such instrument if found, would be confiscated. He said a central public address system will be deployed to disseminate information with light music.
He noted that due to the rigorous process exhibitors go through annually in a bid to participate in the fair, LITF website has been redesigned to enable online booking and payment.
