The Chairman, Lagos State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Moshood Adegoke Salvador, has announced his defection from the party to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Salvador who was surrounded by hundreds of his supporters at his house in Surulere, Lagos on Monday said already 15,000 members of the party have appended their signatures to follow him into APC.
Salvador, who has just been released from detention over allegation of being culpable in the death of the PDP Apapa LG chairman, Prince Adeniyi Aborishade, said he would formally defect to APC at a grand rally to be attended by 50,000 members of PDP at Agege Stadium on Monday September, 3.
