The organiser of the annual Lagos International Food and Beverage Fair Africa (LIFBEF Africa) has postponed this year’s edition of the event, initially billed for July 26- 29, to September 27-30, 2018 due to logistic reasons.
This was contained in a statement issued in Lagos by the convener and Managing Partner of Imani Events and Exhibitions, Khadijah Tebun.
According to her, the postponement is necessary “due to our desire to ensure the 2018 edition of the event is given world class standard and satisfy the purpose of the initiative, the fair organizers deem it important to reschedule the event, to enable us accommodate various programmes and plans, such that would make the event a memorable one.”
She noted that the theme for this year: “Driving food security through technology” is essential to showcase Nigeria’s success story of entrepreneurs, multinationals, agri-preneurs (i.e.the newest of young innovative Nigerians in agriculture).
LIFBEF Africa, according to her, showcases the food and beverage industry to the world, from the whole value chain from agriculture to final processed products.
“The major objective of the event is “to introduce, exchange, and learn about the latest innovations and technologies from around the world; to create opportunities, exposures, and training for innovative Agricpreneurs,” Tebun said.
It will be recalled that the LIFBEF Africa debut in 2012 as a specialized trade fair which brings together the Food and Beverage Industry annually for four days annually.
