Labour Party (LP) has disassociated itself from the coalition of about 40 political parties gearing to defeat the APC come 2019 polls.
The national chairman of the party, Dr. Mike Omotosho, who stated this in Abuja, said they were not consulted and there was no formal meeting or agreement between the party and any other political party in that regard.
He urged Nigerians to disregard any politician or political party that claimed that Labour Party or the NLC and TUC had gone into an alliance with the PDP.
“The Labour Party is not only a political party but a political movement guided by its ethics, values, principles and social ideology, where all actions are taken in consideration of due process,” Omotosho said.
He said as Nigeria prepared for the upcoming elections, the party was consulting with its stakeholders, mobilising its members and preparing its candidates for elective offices.
