KOGI: FG to introduce price-checks in procurement process

The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has said the federal government would soon introduce a price-checker platform in its bid to ensure efficiency, curb corruption and wastages in government procurement processes.

She stated this yesterday in Lokoja at a two-day sensitisation programme on “Price checker and e-procurement” organised by the Efficiency Unit of the Federal Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) for procurement officers from Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the North-Central Zone.

The minister who was represented by Mr Mike Ibiam, Technical Assistant/Head of Efficiency Unit, noted that the sensitisation was owing to the increasing cost of governance which has made it difficult to meet some of its other obligations.
