Kaduna names Jema’a emir Amirul Hajj

The state has also commenced screening of all the 5,616 intending pilgrims, Daily Trust gathered.
Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Yunusa Muhammad Abdullahi said in a statement that the appointment of the emir was in recognition of his experience and contributions to hitch free Hajj operations, adding that this is the third time the state government is appointing him as Amirul Hajj.
The statement added that the board’s overseer Malam Muham-madu Kabir Kasim has maintained that any intending pilgrim found to be of questionable character would not be allowed to perform the exercise.
Pilgrims officers in the 23 local government areas of the state have been directed to ensure that all pilgrims are screened before sending their passports for visa processing.
