Kaduna killings: Fulani youths want Odinkalu, CAN, NEMA officials probed

The umbrella body of Fulani youths, known as the Jonde Jam Fulani Youth Association of Nigerian, has called for the arrest of all those connected with the attack that led to the killings of 66 women and children in Kajuru local government area of Kaduna State last week.

The group said the former chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, Chidi Odinkalu; the Kaduna State chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev. Joseph Hayab and the zonal coordinator, North West of the National Emergency Management Agency, Ishaya Chonoko, should be investigated over what it called an attempt to “cover up the mass murder of 66 people in various settlements of Kajuru.”

The national president of the group, Sa’idu Maikano while speaking with journalists in Jos, described the attacks as a coordinated gang up against the eight Fulani settlements and stressed that comments attributed to Odinkalu, Hayab and Chonoko, who had earlier dismissed the killings, were attempts to cover up a mass murder.
