The Kaduna State House of Assembly yesterday passed its financial autonomy.
Deputy Speaker Nuhu Shadalafiya said this would give the house easy access to funding its programmes and activities.
“It will give members of the assembly the opportunity to showcase their constituencies very well in terms of town hall meetings, report gatherings as well as committees in the assembly that will have funds as and when due to carry out their administrative work.”
Shadalafiya also said the financial autonomy would also help in the capacity building of the legislature, the staff and management.
