Iwo, Jama’are, Okiadolor, others get education colleges

Contrary to media reports, Federal Ministry of Education has issued a statement announcing the precise locations of newly established federal colleges of education in six states.

The statement signed by Director Press and Public Relation, Ben Bem Goong said in Bauchi State, the college will be located at Jama’are in Jama’are Local Government Area (LGA) while in Benue State, the new FCE will be situated at Odugbo in Apa LGA.

Other locations are Isu, Onicha LGA, Ebonyi State; Ekiadolor, Ovia North East LGA, Edo State; Iwo, Iwo LGA, Osun State and Gidan Madi, Tangaza LGA, Sokoto State.

The statement further said, “Letters to this effect have already gone to the relevant Governors, while a Technical Team from the ministry and the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) will be visiting the benefitting states to inspect and assess the sites in the coming weeks, all in preparation for the take-off of the Colleges in October 2020.”
