INEC makes U-turn, publishes Uzodinma as APC Imo guber candidate

In a dramatic twist, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in the late hours of Friday displayed the name of Senator Hope Uzodimma as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Imo state for the  2019 election.

The name of Uzodimma with Akaolisa Cyprain Okechukwu as his running mate was pasted at the INEC office along Port Harcourt road in Owerri.

Our correspondent who visited the  venue at about 8:00pm noticed that Uzodimma name have been added to the list that was earlier displayed by INEC.

A source said  that, Uzodinma’s name made a dramatic appearance “immediately, a Federal High Court vacated an earlier order, which restrained INEC from publishing any name for the election other than the name of Uche Nwosu as the candidate of the party for the election.
