The incoming People’s Democratic Party (PDP) administration in Bauchi state has disclosed plans to upgrade and re-position Directorates in some selected ministries in the state.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the transition sub- commitee for Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism Dr Ladan Salihu at a meeting with the officials of the ministry in Bauchi. He said that the re-positioning was part of efforts to ensure effective execution of policies and programmes towards the speedy development of the state.
Dr Salihu noted that already the incoming administration of Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad has designed programmes to make meaningful development in all spheres.
He, therefore, appealed to the officials of the ministry to create awareness on the highlighted issues to enable the government succeed.
Shedding more light on the functions of the transition Commitee, he said that the transition Council is not out to witch-hunt but to ensure effective transition of government.
On his part, a member of the committee, Alh Musa Gora reassured that all the sub-committees would conduct their assignment based on their respective terms of reference.
Speaking earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, Mrs Lydia Haruna Tsammani, promised to give the committee the required support to enable it achieve its objectives.
