Improve your vocabulary by reading —Ejoke

Speaking at the maiden edition of the Words Barn Awards Ceremony held at Glisten International Academy on Jahi district of Abuja, she said with the use of Words Barn Card Game by students and pupils will boost and sustain their reading culture.
“It can be used whether schools are on session or holidays, it can boost their spelling culture despite the fact that this is the age where we use shortened words with the coming of the social media.” She said
According to her, the motivation to create the Word Barn Card Game was borne out of the need to have “an education campaign run by young people to impact positively on themselves and their environment.”
The education programme officer of Action Aid Nigeria, Miss Osamudianmen Owens-Ibie who was the guest speaker at the ceremony urged the pupils and students not to be selfish with knowledge but to always teach their friends innovative means of learning such as the Words Barn application for vocabulary development just as she tasked them to always improve with modern knowledge through the use of the internet.
The ceremony was the climax of the first cycle of the Words Barn Awards competition which began on January 27 this year and ended April 27 with competitors drawn from 12 primary and secondary schools in Abuja.
