Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has extolled Zenith Bank and HIDEA-PLUS for contributing to the success story of the state government’s free Education programme through the education support activity like football.
Governor Okorocha was represented at the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) between HIDEA-PLUS and Imo state ministry of education by the commissioner of Education Prof. Florence Emenalo.
He said the coming of Zenith Bank and HIDEA-PLUS was timely in view of the already existing free Education programme of the Rescue Mission government and will help enhance effective involvement of Imo children in learning through such education support activities which sports is major part of.
She said the present administration in Imo has given Children free education from primary School to tertiary level and the Principals Cup would in no small way help cement the programme.
Emenalo maintained that the ministry will give all the necessary Support to HIDEA-PLUS to ensure the success of the competition and enjoined the partners to be at their best in organising a worthwhile tournament.
Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of HIDEA-PLUS Tony Pemu said the signing of the MOU between his organization and Imo state Ministry of Education was a step geared towards furthering the developmental stride of the Okorocha led administration through this education Support initiative.
