Imenger returns to Lobi Stars’ bench

The former BCC Lions, El-Kanemi Warriors and Arab Contractors of Egypt star had a brief stint as coach of the continental campaigners before he parted ways with the club.

He is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the players physical fitness as sources in the club said he has been saddled with the responsibility of ensuring that the players are physically fit for the challenges ahead.

Known to be a level headed man, Imenger told Trustsports that he is more than ready to contribute to the success of his former club.

He said everything that happened in the past is now history as he maintained that the most important thing is for everyone to work as one indivisible family to move the club forward.

Imenger thanked the vice-chairman of the club, Mr. Dominic Iorfa for giving him another opportunity to serve the club.

“Yes, I have returned to Lobi Stars and I am more than ready to give my hundred percent to the club in the role that has been assigned to me.

“I want to state here that all the issues that made me leave the club are now things of the past. I thank Mr. Dominic Iorfa for facilitating my comeback. I promise to do my best to justify my second coming”.

Imenger said even when he was no longer a member of Lobi Stars technical crew, he kept tab on the club and so he is fully aware of the progress made and the vision of the club.

Meanwhile, Lobi Stars yesterday began a playing tour of Plateau State with a 1-1 draw with Plateau United in a pre-season friendly match at the Jos township stadium.

Lobi Stars will take on Mighty Jets this afternoon and then round up the tour tomorrow with the last match against JUTH FC.
