The whistleblower who aided the discovery of $43m, N23.2m and £27,800 amounting to N13bn at the Ikoyi home in Lagos has been paid N321 million by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The counsel to the whistleblower, Yusuf Galadima, disclosed this yesterday in a telephone conversation with Daily Trust.
The lawyer also confirmed that the whistleblower had left the country, but did not mention the name of the country he travelled to.
