Igoche backs NBBF board, programmes

He equally pledged to close ranks with the NBBF President and members of the board so as to enhance the development of the game in the country.
Igoche, who represents the North Central on the NBBF board, also urged the Federal Government to support youth development programmes of the board like the Basketball Without Boarders by sponsoring of such programmes.
The NBBF board member, was speaking at the opening of the Basketball Without Borders (BWB) camp at the Abuja National Stadium, praised the initiative, saying it would go a long way in helping to discover talents from the grassroots.
One of the coaches, who handled the training of the kids, Emmanuel Odah described the programme as ‘very good’ since it is a programme that Nigeria would enable Nigeria get its national U-16 and 18 players, and urged the NBBF to push for eight players to make it to South Africa instead of six players since Nigeria is a large nation with abundant talents.
