The Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Alhaji Adamu Mustapha Denze, has described the Igbo community in the area as critical stakeholders in political, economic and social activities.
The chairman stated this when he received in audience the leadership of Igbo traditional council led by Chief Eric Onah, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office yesterday.
He said unity and harmonious relationship should always be the watch word of every individual irrespective of religious and ethnic affiliations, adding that as citizens, there was the need to love one another.
The chairman commended the Igbo community for their continuous support to his administration, assuring them that his administration would always carry them along in policies and programmes.
The Eze Igbo of Gwagwalada, Chief Eric Onah, commended the chairman for his efforts towards addressing infrastructural challenges in the area.
He assured the chairman of the Igbo’s support towards ensuring that he delivered dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots.
The Igbo chief later presented a congratulatory card to the chairman over his victory during the last council election in the area.
