Alhaji Shuaibu Ahmed Gara, the Special Adviser to the governor on Sports, told Weekly Trust in a telephone chat that he was worried that the action of some government t officials in the state would mislead the governor into taking decisions that are at variance with his administration’s focus.
The adviser, who restated his loyalty to Governor Kwankwaso, said a recent decision of a state official to make a public declaration on a matter that the state executive council is yet to take a decision on it is against the standing of the state government.
“I will better resign than allow anybody to ridicule my boss (Gov Kwankwaso). I am in Kano to serve Kwankwaso and my loyalty to him is undiluted. This matter (Pillars MOU with G-Sports) is before the state executive council that is yet to take a decision on it.
“As a transparent government that always publish the decisions taken at every executive council meetings, this matter will be made public whenever a decision is taken on it, but I was surprised that somebody quickly went to the press to declare that the state government is in support of it,” he said.
