Hope Uzodinma is not our member – Imo APC

All Progressives Congress (APC) loyal to Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has said that the Senator representing Owerri West, Senator Hope Uzodinma is not a member of the party.
Chairman of the party, Mr. Daniel Nwafor therefore urged members and stakeholders of the party, including the national leadership to disregard all actions taken by the senator for and on behalf of the party,
Nwafor told newsmen in Owerri yesterday that neither the LG chairman of Omuma in Orlu, Chief Jerry Madubueze nor the State Executive Council  (SEC) is aware that Uzodinma had defected to APC stressing that the Senator had not formally informed the local government chapter of the party neither had he declared on the floor of the National Assembly that he had left his former party for APC.
He described as kangaroo a meeting purportedly held by some members of the party at the behest on Uzodinma, adding that the senator had been dropping the names of the Presidency to deceive members of the public that he is a leader of the party in the state.
He said, “In the last couple of days, SEC has been inundated with calls on the activities of some people who described themselves as members of APC spearheaded Senator Hope Uzodinma. Our attention was drawn to a kangaroo meeting where some people met and took some decisions purportedly on behalf of our party. We put it on record that he is not a member of the party.”
Nwafor’s assertion was corroborated by Madubueze, who said that Uzodinma had not registered in his ward as a memver of the party.
Efforts to get Uzodinma’s reaction were not successful. Calls to his mobile phones were not answered.
