Hoodlums suspected to be political thugs have razed and vandalised four constituency projects built in Lokoja by Senator Dino Melaye less than 24 hours to their inauguration.
At Government Girls Secondary School Sarkin Noma in Lokoja, a block of classroom built by Melaye was razed down overnight (Tuesday) by the hoodlums.
The hoodlums also vandalised a block of classroom built by Senator Dino Melaye at UBE School in Lokongoma Phase 1 area of Lokoja, the state capital.
Daily Trust reports that the windows, ceilings, white board, ceiling fans and electrical fittings in the classroom block were vandalised.
Also affected is a classroom block at Adankolo Secondary School, Lokoja.
The projects destroyed are among the 69 constituency projects Senator Melaye had lined up for inauguration as part of his three year stewardship.
The affected schools which were already in the heart of their third term examinations had to close down following the incident.
