While the PDP welcomed the decision, the APC kicked against it.
The state PDP chairman, Alhaji Hamza Koshe Akuyam, while speaking to journalists, said INEC had taken the appropriate action.
The APC, however, at a press conference by its state chairman, Alhaji Uba Ahmed Nana, said the INEC decision was null and void as it contravenes the provisions of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) as well as the Guidelines for the 2019 elections.
The INEC headquarters located on Ahmadu Bello Way in Bauchi metropolis has been under heavy security presence since the governorship elections.
Movement on the road had been blocked as police and military vehicles were placed on the road blocking one of the two lanes.
Since the declaration of the election as inconclusive, the atmosphere in the state had been tense as both APC and PDP, along with their supporters, are accusing each other of being responsible for the malpractices that caused the stalemate.
