The head teacher of Markazus Sunnah, an Islamic school in Mpape, Bwari area council of the FCT, Malam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Al-Bidawee, has led the graduation ceremony of the school’s 23 students during the weekend.
The head teacher was abducted three weeks ago while on his way to Kaduna where his family lives but released five days ago as explained by the school director, Imam Amin Abdurrahman.
City News learnt that the incident caused a lot of concern in the school, as the event scheduled to take place earlier, had to be shelved.
The school director thanked parents for their understanding over the delay in holding the ceremony and also for their prayers following the abduction of the head teacher.
He also congratulated the graduating students, tasking them to remain good in the society and also translate what they were taught in their actions and character.
One of the parents of the students, Malam Umar Gombe, whose daughter, Maryam, came out overall best graduate, expressed appreciation to the school on behalf of other parents.
All the parents present were the ones who handed over the school certificate to their respective children during the event, which was chaired by the Director Operations, IRS Airlines, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Makama.
