The leadership of the Handball Federation of Nigeria under Mr. Samuel Ocheho has said it has made progressive moves in the past one year.
The Secretary General of the Federation, Alhaji Haruna Maigidansanma made this known in a statement while assessing the performance of the Ocheho led board.
He enumerated some of the achievements recorded in the year to include the unity in the handball family, the male national team participation in the African Nations Cup in Gabon and restructuring of the national team technical crew to meet with international standard.
Others, according to the scribe include, organising the National U-13 and U-15 Handball competitions in Lagos, rebranding the national handball league to Prudent Energy Handball league and securing sponsors for the league and setting various committees with stakeholders from various parts of the country as a members.
He therefore, congratulated the members of the board for the success achieved in one year and advised them to sustain the tempo.
Maigidansanma said with commitment and concern of the current board, handball would in no distant time compete with other team events in the country and at the global levels.
