Mr. Adebayo, a resident in Lugbe said since he started planting vegetables at home, it has reduced his spending and he can have access to vegetables anytime he wants them.
He said the time it takes to grow vegetables varies, based on the type of vegetable and location of the farm.
Usually it takes six to eight weeks to have spinach grow to edible size under good weather condition.
Another vegetable enthusiast, Kore who lives in Wuye, Abuja said vegetables are delicate so they need to be cared for regularly.
