The Yakubu Dogara Support Group and Awareness Campaign has vowed to ensure that the Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, is re-elected and returned as the Speaker of the lower legislative chamber in 2019.
The Coordinator of the group, Comrade Sunusi Adamu, disclosed this in Bogoro on Saturday at a solidarity gathering held in support of Dogara’s re-election under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform.
According to him, the Speaker had left an indelible mark in his Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa Balewa constituency, a record which remained unbeaten among his peers, since he joined the national assembly.
Adamu assured that the group would also support all other PDP candidates in the general elections.
In his address, the chairman of the occasion, Moses Bar, commended the group for their support for Dogara which he claimed has energised the people of the area.
Also speaking on behalf of PDP chairmen in Dass and Tafawa Balewa local government areas, Bogoro LGA PDP chairman, Daniel Musa, assured that they will mobilize the electorates to vote for the Speaker in the 2019 general elections.
