The Governor of Jigawa State Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has reiterated his administration’s commitment to providing more financial support to newly promoted Jigawa Golden Stars.
The Governor reiterated his unflinching commitment to the club when he received in his office players and officials of the new NPFL side.
The visit of the club was to brief the Governor on their recent promotion to the elite division of the Nigeria League and to appreciate him for his enormous support.

The team led by the Permanent Secretary of Information, Alhaji Abbas Yau and Director sports, Gambo Umar Labbo commended state government for the massive support enjoyed by the club leading to the promotion ticket.
The leaders of delegation therefore appealed the governor for a new bus and renovation of stadium ahead of the new season.
Responding, Badaru expressed happiness over the achievement of the club and promised more support and co-operation in the coming league season.
The governor also urged the management and players to redouble their efforts to remain in the topflight and if possible win the league title.
