However, it was observed that only Abubakar Habu Mu’azu, Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki and Ibrahim Dasuki Jalo Waziri, out of the eight contestants that vied for the governorship ticket with Inuwa, were at the meeting.

Some of the aggrieved aspirants, who spoke at the meeting, pledged loyalty to the party despite losing the primary and they promised to work for the victory of the party.

In their submissions, Umaru Kawu Barambu, Babaji Babadidi and Umar Shuaibu Galadima, who were aspirants for Akko, Balanga/Billiri and Yamaltu/Deba federal constituencies respectively, appealed to the party’s governorship flag-bearer to reward their sacrifice and loyalty if he subsequently won the election in February 2019.

In his remarks, the governorship candidate, Inuwa Yahaya called on those that won and lost at the primaries to work together to ensure that the APC wrested power from the PDP-led government in the state.
