The sector command alleged that their existence attracts various illegal activities like trading, hawking and wrong parking on major roads, which the sector said led to series of accidents in the area recently.
FCT FRSC sector commander, J.K Fanola, made the vow when he visited the Agora of Zuba, Alhaji Muhammadu Bello, in his palace, to commiserate with him over last Saturday’s accident in the town, in which many lives were reportedly lost.
On the sector commander’s entourage were FRSC Zuba unit commander, Akpotobo Meregbe, Zuba Divisional Police Officer, Chief Superintendant Femi Adelagan, representative of Civil Defense Divisional Officer, Abbas Muhammad, and an officer from the State Security Service (SSS).
Also speaking, the officer from the State Security Service (SSS), urged the monarch to use his fatherly disposition to enlighten his subjects, who, according to him, constitute about 90 percent of the transport workers that operate the illegal parks in the area.
The Zuba Divisional Police Officer, Femi Adenigan, said the only place allowed for motor park operation in the town, is the Zuba main motor park, saying he had to stop the road side parks operators last Monday following the Saturday accident as a matter of emergency.
Responding, the Agora of Zuba, Alhaji Muhammadu Bello, thanked the delegation for their concern and promised his maximum cooperation in order to realize the set goals.
