Fresh crisis between Jukun and Hausa youths as a result of an attempt to pull down a building structure in a locality was averted in Wukari town of Taraba State on Wednesday.
Daily Trust gathered that trouble surfaced when a group of Jukun youths attempted to pull down a building being erected by a Hausa man on plot of land he purchased at Wappan Naku area in the town.
It was further gathered that the Hausa youths resisted the move and the situation nearly turned into a clash between the two groups but timely intervention of elders from both sides brought the situation under control.
It was learnt that elders from Jukun and Hausa communities had warned the youths against causing trouble in the town that has battled series of ethnic and religious crisis in the past.
