A former Minister of Transport, Alhaji Yusuf Sulaiman has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
Sulaiman who obtained membership card at the APC office in Isa local government area on Wednesday said he was joining the party to assist the APC-led federal government realize its dreams of developing the country.
According to him, he is joining the party unconditionally and without any ambition of seeking for any office.
"I did not give them any condition and I was not given any either. I am joining them unconditionally," he said
He added:" I am here to serve my people, the state and the party. I dropped any ambition before joining the party. I will wait until the party say this is what we want you to do for us."
While talkng about his former party, he said he had all along being in a company of wrong people.
"They are the people who don’t understand what politics is all about. It is an avenue for realizing personal interest, not for the development of the people and the country.
"So I now joined the people of like minds who are working towards the development and upliftment of the country.
"The recent APC rally in the state gave an insight of where the hearts and minds of people of the Sokoto state are," he said.
