He enjoined farmers and herdsmen to desist from taking laws into their hands, advising them to always dialogue with one another when there is conflict.

Nuru reiterated the significance of both farmers and herdsmen who he said are very important in the development process of the communities and the country at large.

According to him, for the country to develop like other countries such as America, farmers and herdsmen must learn to avoid clashes.

He therefore appealed to traditional and religious leaders to teach their subjects to support government’s call on the need for citizens to live in peace with one another.

Speaking on the policies of the present administration, Alhaji Nuru Kobi said the N-Power programme and the empowerment schemes of market men and women are good programmes aimed at reducing the hardships experienced by the people.

Meanwhile, the representative of the caretaker chairman of Bogoro LGA, Mr Nehemiah Markus stated that the local government council has set up a committee to mark cattle routes across the LGA.

Mr Markus said the objective of the committee is to facilitate marking of cattle routes with a view to avoiding clashes between farmers and herdsmen.
