FG appoints two Directors for AIB

The Federal Government on Wednesday appointed two new directors for the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB).

They are Engr. Hashimu Ilyasu Wali for Engineering and Capt. Dayyabu Mustapha Danraka for Operations.

The appointments are with immediate effect, according to a statement by AIB spokesman Mr Tunji Oketunbi.

Capt. Danraka was the Bureau’s General Manager, Operations, while Engr.Wali was an Aviation Safety Inspector with Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

The statement said the appointments follow the expiration of the tenures of former director of Engineering, Engr. Emmanuel Diala and Director of Operations, Capt. Yusuf Lawal.

The statement quoted the the AIB Commissioner/CEO, Engr. Akin Olateru as appreciating​ the former directors for their "invaluable services to the Bureau" and wished them success in their future endeavours.

There have been gale of appointments in the sector since last week with the Government appointing Directors for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority(NCAA) and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) last weekend as part of the ongoing restructuring exercise in the sector.
