Former managing director of Unity Bank PLC, Falalu Bello is set to emerge the new national chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP.
PRP is expected to announce the name of the new national chairman at the end of its ongoing national delegate conference holding in Kaduna.
It comes after former Kaduna governor Balarabe Musa stepped down as the national chairman of the party on Friday.
Bello’s name came up at the National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting of the party on Friday and is going to be presented at the national delegates conference for confirmation before the official announcement.
The delegate conference is currently holding at the Hotel Seventeen in Kaduna.
Musa has been the national chairman of the party since it was reregistered as a party and was at a time the presidential candidate of the party.
A source at the meeting said the nomination of Bello was unanimous.
