The Technical Adviser of Enyimba FC Usman Abd’Allah has said the club is getting closer to actualizing their dream of winning this year’s Nigeria Professional Football League title.
Enyimba ensured their qualification for the six-team tournament on the final day of the NPFL first round, finishing third in group A despite slipping to a 1-2 loss at Katsina United.
“This is the stage where we have to achieve those two goals we set at the beginning of the season, that’s getting back into the continent and hopefully getting a trophy.” He said.
Ahead of the NPFL playoffs, he said his side will have to put out perfect performances to stand a chance of achieving their set objective.
Abd’Allah therefore urged his wards to remain focused on task at hand.
“We have scaled through the first stage of this competition by getting to the super six and now we are in the final stage of the season.
“We will go back and start preparing more because we need to have very good concentration to move on.
“We have to go back and assemble the team very well, get more focused and train, and then give everything,” he said.
Enyimba will kick-off the playoff against neighbours Enugu rangers on June 4.
